2019 LWV Annual Meeting featuring guest speaker Dr. Karen Mazza presenting opportunities for LWV members to support the new legislation for Civics Education Curriculum for Massachusetts public schools.


The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan political organization encouraging the informed and active participation of citizens in government. It influences public policy through education and advocacy.

Great pointers on how to run for public office including how to pull papers, financial rules and regulations, creating your message and campaigning.

In order to engage voters early in the Annual Town Meeting legislative process, The LWV Hingham hosts an annual public review of the content of the Annual Town Meeting Warrant.

The forum gives citizens the opportunity to review Articles and ask questions. They can then follow up by attending Advisory Committee meetings at which the Advisory Committee will discuss its recommendations for the particular articles in which the citizens are interested.

The LWV Hingham hosts regular Candidates Nights for Hingham voters to hear from candidates running for local office. The Candidates Night for the 2020 Hingham Town Election will be held on April 15, 2020.
