Welcome to The League of Women Voters of Hamilton-Wenham, Massachusetts (LWV-HW). For more than 50 years, we've been a positive force in our two towns – a nonpartisan political organization encouraging informed and active participation of local citizens in their government. We work to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influence public policy through voter education and advocacy. We’re part of the League of Women Voters of the United States, and the League of Women Voters of Massachusetts. Membership is open to all.

Throughout this site, you'll find various topics such as voting information, joining our chapter, attending our public events, and our policies on current issues. Please feel free to contact us with any questions, and we hope that you'll join us soon!

In-person early voting for the presidential and MA senate elections is now active from Saturday, Oct 17 to Friday, Oct 30. For updated information, see your town's website below:

As of August 2020, amid both a looming presidential election and a global pandemic that has forced many people in the U.S. to consider mail-in voting for the first time, the US Postal Service is under severe threat of federal budget cuts that will make it substantially unable to perform its duties relative to the presidential election and to timely mail delivery. Delays in mail processing from a predicted record vote-by-mail turnout may lead to voter disenfranchisement on a national scale.
